The construction of Target Field in downtown Minneapolis was a complex project, and even more so because the Minnesota Twins wanted the building to be LEED-certified. After achieving LEED Silver certification for New Construction, the Twins and the Minnesota Ballpark Authority wanted to continue the commitment by pursuing a Building Operations and Maintenance certification, which tracks and validates efficient building operations. Megan was engaged by local consulting firm Paydirt to help manage the complex certification process. Her engagement focused on working with the client and outside vendors, data tracking and extensive documentation for the Sustainable Sites, Materials, and Resources LEED categories. Once again, Target Field achieved LEED Silver certification for Building Operations and Maintenance, making it the "greenest ballpark in America".
